DST-SERB School onAdvanced Functional Materials at Nano and Atomic Scale

The emerging technologies are advancing our society, economy, science and technology in many ways. These technologies bank upon the discovery, synthesis/fabrication ofadvancedmaterials,theirthoroughcharacterizationtounderstandtheirpropertiesandpotentialforapplications.Therearenumerousclassesorgroupsofsuchadvancedfunctionalmaterials.However,withinthescopeofthisschool,wewouldliketofocuson2Dmaterials,oxidesemiconductors,perovskitesandorganicsemiconductors,whichareinprominenceduring the lastdecade or so.Wewill limitthediscussion tothe above materials atnano andatomicscalewhenthe propertieschange dramaticallyenabling avarietyof potentialapplications.ThisschoolwillbringPhDscholars(3rdyearonward),post-doctoralfellows,early-careerfacultymembers,andexpertresearchersfromalloverthecountryonasingleplatform,whichwillhelptofurtherenhancethequalityoftheresearchactivitiesandthefuturetechnologiesemanatingfromourcountry.
